Student Aid Information
Student Financial Services offers a variety of student financial assistance programs, which are outlined below. You will have to repay any loans which you are authorized, but bursaries and grants do not have to be repaid.
CANADA STUDENT LOAN
Disbursed First Semester - 60% of your assessed need, up to $210 per week.
NEW BRUNSWICK PROVINCIAL LOAN
Disbursed mid-point of academic year - 40% of assessed need, up to $140 per week.
NEW BRUNSWICK BURSARY
Disbursed 2 months prior to the end of the program
Students without dependants $90 per week
Students with dependants $80 per week
CANADA STUDY GRANTS
Disbursed first semester
Students with one or more dependants $40 per week
Students with three or more dependants $60 per weekk
MILLENNIUM BURSARY
Dependants on the level of financial need - $2,000 to a maximum of $4,000 - disbursed at the end of May.

Social Insurance Card (SIN)
Your Social Insurance Number (SIN) must be submitted with your application. If you do not have a SIN card, you must get one before you can apply for student financial assistance.
Your SIN card must be valid for the entire period of study for which you are applying for financial assistance. If you do not have a SIN card, or have one that will expire during your period of study, you can visit your local Service Canada Centre or call 1 800 622-6232 or visit the Service Canada Website
