Oulton enjoys a long-established reputation of seeing its students successfully working upon graduation. Our graduate employment success rate in recent years has been over 90%, one of the highest among colleges in the Atlantic Provinces.
Students are actively assisted in obtaining starting positions in their field of study. On going direction from the Community and Employment Relations Coordinator will offer the student knowledge and opportunities to improve their chances of procuring employment. Many programs offer practicums (on-the-job training) that allow students to be introduced into the workforce.

Courses are carefully planned to include subjects, which have maximum practical value in the business world. Our programs are designed to be completed in a 9 to 20-month time frame to allow students to obtain the skills they need to be able to enter the workforce as quickly as possible. Programs are completed within 9-20 months, allowing our graduates to enter the workforce ealier than graduates from other educational institutions, which may offer 2-3 year programs.

TEACHING METHODOLOGIES

Oulton College takes great pride in offering the latest computer technology. Our students learn leading-edge software and software development tools using modern computers. We are constantly up-dating our curriculum to meet the technological advances of today’s workplace.
CERTIFICATIONS
We encourage students to write as many certifications as possible. Some programs offer reimbursement to current students for successful completion of certification exams.
UNIVERSITY ACCREDITATION
The College was the first private (non IT) college in the Maritime Provinces to obtain university accreditation for its courses. The Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene Programs are the only programs in New Brunswick to be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (2008). The Veterinary Technician Program is nationally accredited from the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA). The ACTA/CITC Canadian Education Standard System endorses our Travel and Tourism Program. Oulton is also a member of QuickLaw’s Canadian Educational Program.
NUMBER OF STUDENTS
We maintain a limited number of seats in each program to ensure a proper student to instructor ratio. This allows us to get to know our students and take an interest in their individual needs. Although we are a local college in Moncton, NB, our graduates obtain certifications that are recognized around the world. Our graduates have obtained employment throughout North America and also Europe.
STUDENT BODY
Our students come from high school, community college, university and workforce backgrounds making for a diverse and interesting student mix. Most of our students are from the Maritime Provinces; however, some are from other regions of Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
Social events
The student council is responsible for organizing most of the social, sporting and entertainment events for the students. Such events have brought recognition to our student body. Some for the accomplishments have included raising funds for The Moncton Hospital , Hopital Dr. Georges L. Dumont, The Moncton Food Basket, SIDA/AIDS Moncton, Involvement in Community Schools Program (District 2) and more. Our annual student welcome event is always an event to remember!.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
All of our programs are registered with the Department of Education and students may obtain government student loans. A payment plan is in place for students choosing to pay tuition by means other than Student Aid. Oulton College also offers the GA Oulton Memorial Scholarship and the Career Initiative Bursaries to deserving students from New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.
